Round Up Of the BPL

This week's Barclays Premiere League have been somewhat weird and exciting. With 3 of the top 2 of the top 4 teams won their respective matches, 1 team had a draw and the other lost. Arsenal beat Blackburn 6-2 at the emirates while Chelsea beat a top 4 rival Liverpool 2-0 at stamford bridge. Manchester United drew 2-2 against Sunderland, in a hard pumping match where they almost beat the champions after taking the lead twice.

A late own goal from Anton Ferdinand ( younger brother of Rio Ferdinand) rescued a draw for the champions. He had the final touch after United defender Patrice Evra  struck a left foot shot 2 minutes into added time. Sunderland forward Darren Bent had given the visitors a 7th minute lead with  a crisp turn a low right foot shot past goalkeeper Ben Foster. Dimitar Berbatov then pulled an equalizer in the 51st minute with a bicycle kick before Kenwyne Jones headed sunderland back in front again.

Frenchman Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda took Chelsea back to the top of the league by beating Liverpool 2-0. Chelsea inflicted Liverpool's 3rd lost of the season through secind-half goals. Chelsea have 21 points, while Man utd are in 2nd place with 19 points, Tottenham in 3rd with 16 points and arsenal in 4th and liverpool in 5th bth with 15 points.
