Department Of Performance & Media (DPM) Video Shoot

This weekend was the most busiest weekend for me and my fellow classmates in the DPM. We had a corporate video shoot for our department, and the purpose of this shoot is to promote the department to the public, and hopefully to attract people to join this course. The shoot was directed by Imri, one of our lecturers and he brought along his crew and equipments. The 'Host' for the video is Shah & Liyana, they of all people had pages of lines, so they are probably the most tiring person right now.
The first day was on the 24th (saturday) and the shoot started as early as 8 am, and they had a green screen set up outside the Roof Top Theatre (RTT) which was for a montage or something. It was really cool to see all the equipments live. The set up took quite sometime because they had to position the screen and the camera and microphone. Later during the day, we had some shots in the computer room, and the office. I had a small role with lines, and this shot took quite sometime because of the lighting adjustments. Then i was just an ensemble cast for the rest of the scene. The shoot didn't turn out like what i expected,  it was really smooth with little mistakes. I thought temperatures was gonna boil.
The 2nd was on the 25th (sunday) and as usual we got up as early as 8 a.m to get ready in our costumes and make ups, while the crew were setting up the set. We were lucky today because we are ahead of schedule, a scene that was suppose to be shot today was already shot the day before, but nonetheless time is gold, none of us wasted anytime to shoot, we were all on standby for our respective scenes one hour before.
The 2nd day of shoot was more cheerful because we had a dancing scene, which is the first and last scene in the video. This shoot, took up more than an hour not just to shoot but to coordinate the moves to fit in front of the camera. Dalili the dance coordinator had a tough time sorting it out but in the end the scene went well and everyone was happy.
We also had a scene inside the RTT where we are showing how a play is done and how the actors prepare for a play i.e warm ups and rehearsals. This shoot didn't take long, and i think its the easiest shot of all. After all this is done, hopefully the video will turn out great and more people would be interested in joining this course. Ill post the video as soon as its ready.
